Russia carried out a new stage of exercises involving its nuclear forces, with practical readiness actions, the movement of military units and the preparation of missile systems.
According to information released by the Russian Ministry of Defense in a video on Telegram, the maneuvers included raising the readiness level of military units and detachments prepared to operate nuclear weapons.
During the exercise, nuclear munitions were delivered to field storage sites located in the deployment zones of missile brigades. The activity is part of readiness training for Russia’s strategic forces.

Missile units also carried out training and combat tasks with the Iskander-M tactical system. The training included obtaining special munitions, preparing launcher vehicles and moving covertly to the designated area for a possible launch.
According to data released by Moscow, more than 64,000 military personnel took part in the operation. The exercise also mobilized more than 7,800 units of weapons and military equipment, including more than 200 missile launchers, more than 140 aircraft, 73 surface ships and 13 submarines.
Among the submarines involved, eight are classified as strategic, with the capability to be used in nuclear missions. The Russian Ministry of Defense also said the exercise addressed issues related to the joint preparation and use of nuclear weapons located on Belarusian territory.

Belarus’s participation reinforces the military integration between Moscow and Minsk amid the current climate of tension involving Russia, Ukraine and NATO countries. Russian nuclear maneuvers are usually closely monitored by Western governments due to the strategic reach of the systems involved.
